Our partners in Moldova, Charlotte & Johannes, have sent us this update…please do pray for their ongoing work and for the exciting opportunities ahead.
Warm greetings from Moldova!
We want to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to you and the Heartcry for Change family for your faithful love, prayer, and support throughout the years. Your generous sowing into the ministry here in Moldova has borne much fruit, and your investment continues to touch lives in ways that go far beyond what words can express. Thank you for your recent gift of £1000. This is a huge help.
Your love and compassion have especially impacted the Girls Academy and our outreach to the most vulnerable. So many young women have found hope, dignity, and a future because of your partnership. Thank you for believing in them and in us.
We are also thrilled to share about the progress in several new areas of ministry. Over the past year, God has been raising up a new generation of young pastors and leaders. To help equip them, we are in the process of opening an office for Global University in Moldova. This will provide a solid foundation in biblical understanding and pastoral calling for emerging leaders. Charlotte has been working tirelessly to enroll young men and women into the program, and we plan to officially launch the project on November 14–15.
Another exciting development is our journey toward establishing a camp ministry and training base for the Union of Full Gospel Churches in Moldova. We are still searching and praying for the right plot of land, but we can already see God’s provision. An architect has offered to help draw up the plans and a church in Germany has expressed their desire to contribute toward the land purchase. Several other churches have even pledged to sponsor individual huts. This is incredibly encouraging! We truly believe the camp will be a great blessing: a place for church retreats, leadership training, and spiritual renewal for believers across Moldova. The task is of course still huge but we look forward to see how God will make it happen.

Recently, we also had a very meaningful trip to Ukraine, where we were able to launch the program for Veterans. As we shared earlier, we received a grant from the Danish Government for this purpose. The program is now being implemented across the Cherkasy region, integrated into local veteran hubs. Visiting our partners, we were deeply moved by the immense toll the war has taken on soldiers and their families. During a three-day retreat, we were invited to pray and minister to many officers, soldiers, and their wives—an unforgettable experience.
This work among veterans is a vast field but we sense God’s hand leading it forward. Local churches are catching the vision, realizing the importance of reaching out to these families with love, hope, and the Gospel before despair takes root. We believe this movement will continue to grow across Ukraine.
At the moment, we are in Denmark, visiting churches and, of course, spending precious time with our children and grandchildren. We’ve also been purchasing tents and camp equipment, preparing for the future camp ministry. God has already provided a large meeting tent and other essentials, so we are eager to begin, even if it starts simply with tent camps.
Looking ahead, our vision for the coming year focuses on three key priorities:
- Pastor Internship and Training Program – equipping the next generation of leaders.
- Camp Ministry and Base for the Union of Full Gospel Churches – a center for retreats and discipleship.
- Girls Academy Development – moving toward greater local sustainability while continuing to strengthen outreach in Ukraine.
We also recently spoke with a young family in Denmark who are prayerfully considering joining us in Moldova. They have a great heart for children and family ministry, which we believe will be a wonderful addition to the team.
Thank you once again, dear friends, for your unwavering love, encouragement, and partnership. You have stood with us through many seasons, and we are constantly reminded of God’s faithfulness through you. We look forward to all that He will continue to do in and through our shared work for His Kingdom.
Love and blessings,
Charlotte and Johannes.
