Dear Heartcry family & friends,

As the nights begin to draw in and the evenings become much cooler, it’s wonderful to see the autumn colours on the trees.  It’s always such a comforting reminder of the constancy of God in each of life’s seasons, especially at times like these which feel less predictable and more uncertain for so many of us.  God is faithful and at harvest time we remember: This generous God who supplies abundant seed for the farmer, which becomes bread for our meals, is even more extravagant toward you. First he supplies every need, plus more. Then he multiplies the seed as you sow it, so that the harvest of your generosity will grow.  (2 Cor 9:10 TPT)  We really pray for you in this season that you will be aware of the generosity of God towards you as He meets your needs and gives you the joy of partnering with Him to be a channel of generous blessing to others.

September was a very full month of ministry with the Heartcry team preaching in Singapore, Australia, USA and several churches in the UK as well as continuing with the Heartcry online messages of hope 3 times per week plus Sundays.  We have loved receiving the stories of how these talks have helped you and made a difference to your lives.  Thank you for taking the time to write and let us know or add comments to the chat on Facebook posts.  September has also been a busy month in terms of family.  Gordon and I have had my mum and brother, Duncan, staying with us from USA.  This was the first time we have all been able to be together since my dad died in April so it has been good to connect at last.  A week ago, the Hickson family also saw the arrival of our new puppy, Bella.  She has been such a joy and so much fun.  We have laughed at her toddler-like antics and she has provided us with endless hours of entertainment as she explores her new home and surroundings.

Bella Hickson, our new puppy!

Looking ahead to October, we will be continuing to minister in different churches, mainly online.  Our itinerary is below for your information and to hear the messages if you would like. October is so often identified with Halloween but 31 October is actually Reformation day and we thought it would be great to look at reformation and what it means in different spheres of life today.  So we are excited to have a great line up of speakers joining us for our Reformation month.  We will continue to provide all the online content on our Heartcry Facebook and YouTube channels.  There is no charge to access these messages and we now also have a fantastic archive of all our talks since lockdown began in March…hours of teaching organised in playlists for you to enjoy and share!  Perhaps you know friends who would benefit from a hope-filled message…why not forward them the links or posts and then have a coffee time to discuss and pray together!

At the end of October, leading up to  Reformation Day, we will have special Heartcry Harvest Gift Days.  This dedicated week from Sunday 25 October – Saturday 31 October will be an opportunity for you to sow into us as a ministry.  There is no limit to what God can do with a seed sown in faith and we are thankful for those who are able and feel called to invest in us financially in this season when we are not able to travel and minister as we would normally.  Your partnership and support are such an encouragement to us as we too navigate this re-formation season and walk in step with Jesus with expectation for the harvest to come!
